Well, just wanted to update on the crafting front. I made a pencil-case ( yes I know, can't I move beyond the rectangles with zips? - Apparently not ok?) for my friend a coupl'a weeks ago but never posted it, so here I am doing it now. I made it out of the fabric that I will USE for the dress, some large pink ribbon and smaller blue ribbon and some grey buttons (one of those extra packets you get with tops etc.).
Ok, I like brackets wayyyyyy too much.
There's the finished article. Sorry for these disgraceful photos, I didn't realise how bad they were till just there now. The lighting is woeful but anyway, you get the jist. & of course, pink gingham lining. Err lol I don't own a lot of fabric, so I gotta keep using the same stuff.
And a close up of the fabric and the ribbon, which I sewed on in the most ridiculous way possible, but at least you can't see it from the outside. And that pink ribbon is actually sooo much wider than the blue ribbon - it was meant to sit to one side; but again I miscalculated that. Haha, despite the setbacks, I'm actually quite pleased with how it turned out!
Yep, think I might finally get making a start on some real projects soon!!Oh and this painting was included in the prezzie. Nothing special, just simple black and white, and ignore the scarf and hair. She was wearing like thee most ridiculously hard scarf to draw ever.
